Indigo Bunting
My friend, Allan Block, a fellow photographer, told me about an Indigo Bunting he spotted along the interurban bike trail just north of Highland Road in Mequon. Being an impatient man, I decided to try to coax the bird out of hiding with a bird song, and, sure enough, he immediately appeared and started "talking" back to me.
I returned to the same spot at least four more times and he never disappointed me, although Allan told me recently that he's moved a little south of Highland.

Bluebirds
Sitting on our patio one early evening, enjoying the beautiful weather, we noticed a solitary Eastern Bluebird perched on a nesting box in my neighbor's yard. Not one to ignore a photo op, I hurriedly set up my camera gear and got the following shots:
